Guide for Authors

Instructions for Writing:

  • Original articles & case reports: not exceeding 3,000 words (excluding cover letter, abstract, acknowledgments, tables, figures, references). While reviewing 4,000 words.
  • The abstract should not exceed 300 words.
  • Manuscripts should be written using Times New Roman font size 12 on one side of the A4 size paper with 2.5cm margin on each side and double line space throughout the manuscript in word file. All pages must be numbered in the bottom center of the page consequently in order.
  • Add line number to all manuscripts.
  • The title page of the manuscript should have the type of pf the manuscript, full title in bold, author’s name, affiliation, address and contact emails. The corresponding author is designated by an asterisk.
  • The title page should be submitted in a separate file as we follow a double-blind per-review process.
  • The manuscript is divided into abstract, Introduction, Keywords (3-5), Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
  • The Results and Discussion sections must be distinct and not combined.
  • Avoid sub-headings in the Discussion section.
  • References should follow the Vancouver style and be arranged at the end of the manuscript.
  • Tables should be concise, typewritten on a separate page, and numbered numerically.
  • Photographs should be incorporated as a separate file saved in JPEG format (final resolution 300 dpi) provided with suitable letters, arrows, and asterisk. Figure legends for photographs must state the staining and magnification and should be numbered numerically and separately.

Publication Fees:

  • For Egyptians

Research articles, reviews, and case reports: 400 Egyptian pounds up to 10 pages, extra pages will be charged 15 E. pounds.

  • For foreigners

Research articles, reviews, and case reports: 50 US$ up to 10 pages, extra pages will be charged 5US$.

Originality 

The papers accepted for submission and publication in "The International Journal of Comprehensive Veterinary Research " are supposed to be original and not previously published elsewhere except for abstracts presented in local and international conferences. The journal editorial board has the right to withdraw the articles if found published in full elsewhere or an issue of plagiarism was raised, and the authors will not be allowed to submit any other papers to the journal in the future.

Plagiarism:

Submitted manuscripts are subjected to check for plagiarism with the published papers in different journals and various internet sources. If the Similarity Index is more than 20%, the manuscript is liable to be rejected.

Proofs and Reprints:

Electronic proofs will be sent as an e-mail attachment to the corresponding author as a PDF file. Page proofs are considered to be the final version of the manuscript. Except for typographical or minor clerical errors, no changes will be made to the manuscript at the proof stage. Published articles can be freely downloaded from the journal site.
